History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Grisha was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her parents were killed by giants in a raid when she was still a young child. The giants captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by giants. Baelitae was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. A freak accident while working with her Healer mother left her crippled. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Seamstress. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 14 years.

History: Born in the east her family was never financially stable. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

History: He was raised in a plains tribe.
