He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Animal Trainer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
