His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

History: River hails from a village terrorized by goblins. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
