This search led him directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has achieved small success as a Ruler.

However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.

When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Servant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She saw the violence of war and the aftermath so she converted to religion and dedicated herself to non-violence.
