History: The child of a Bricklayer, who enjoyed hunting, Dean was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Orcs in the west were limited. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Halfling people.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He worked as a nervous Farmer and found it very stressful. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
