History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Bricklayer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bricklayer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Mardred was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Weaver hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Through the years after Ellywick was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Ellywick's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
