History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Shifting was born with his mother's beautiful face. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He now owns his own business.

Personality: She likes to brag about her accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Pearl lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered dancing. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
