He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Varis grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and obtaining odd cultural halfling artifacts is his passion

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He's also a talented Barkeep, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Názkûga was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Description: An older woman who wears a white coat over a blue low-cut shirt, and a top hat upon her head, she is not a threatening figure. Her tied-back hair is white. Her otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her first spouse was a Fisher, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Description: A thin woman, she clearly needs to put on some weight, but she still has a lot of muscle. She wears a grey cloak and cross-gartered red stockings. She has a long golden ponytail with little hanging trinkets. She has a dull look in her blue eyes.

Personality: She is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, she's a very lovable idiot. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Margery is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. She is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has never given up on her dancing dream.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she has decided she is irredeemable
