History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and retire the richest man in the west

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: Born to a Server, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled mother and took her mother's old job. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
