Description: He sports black clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. He carries a battered pickaxe and tarnished sai as well. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to hide his balding. His ears are large.
Personality: Shamash hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. Shamash is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.
History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Guard they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Layabout, and he later adopted a second son.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and regain custody of his son

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.
History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
Motivation: She has decided she is irredeemable.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Tordrid will drive conversation. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.
History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
Motivation: She is greedy.

Description: This northern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She wears loose pants and a collared shirt complete with sweater beneath her coat. Her brown hair is braided into rings. Her face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.
Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Navigator born in the past three hundred years. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.
History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Navigator. She became a Navigator soon after.
Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and further expansion of business

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He wears an entirely black suit with brown socks and a vest with buckled shoes. His red hair is knotted and matted. His eyes are green and catlike.
Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.
History: Feldûsh was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Feldûsh fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he feels threatened by others

Description: This exceptionally lanky woman wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized blue coat. Her hair, while still mostly brown, has prominent grey streaks. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.
Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes goblins are coming to abduct people. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.
History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. When Bimpnottin reached her early adolescence her Gnome mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and revenge

History: She was born in a small forest village. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She bought a pickaxe and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with blue lining and desert motifs. His hair is brown and curly. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are gray.
Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.
History: He was raised in a forest tribe. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Zook was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.
Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He wears loose pants and a collared shirt complete with sweater beneath his coat. His beige fur is knotted and matted. His hazel eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: Edge is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Edge grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Edge. Being a Banker kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
Motivation: Seeks redemption.
