History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered music. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He's also a talented Detective, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Katherine was orphaned to a temple shortly after her birth. She was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above herself and to hold her god always in her heart. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs.

Description: He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather, but does not cut a very imposing figure. Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Morgran's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. A gifted student he started as a Performer, but he got bored and became a Shipwright. Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Mormo was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
