History: Shifting lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

History: She was born into a rich family. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Painter work with an outfit from a few towns over. Painter work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and her religion dominates her actions
