History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Butcher arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Hugh was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now owns his own business.
