During her travels, Rohesia and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Rohesia discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Rohesia fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: Mamnen was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tiefling companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her first spouse was a Bellfounder, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. River was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.
