Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: Lance was born with his mother's beautiful face. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
