He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Burto was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with music. He constantly tries to fill his life with music. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Howard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered music. He has never given up on his music dream.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At some point he was captured by illithids and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Personality: He hates Tieflings with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He found a children's book about a Tiefling Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Gnomish people; and wants to work out more often

Personality: Jasmine wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: Jasmine was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Jasmine abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. In the meantime she has taken over work as a Weaver and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and balancing her hectic life and new weaver responsibilities is difficult

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His parents enrolled him in a Sorcerer school at a young age so that he could practice his druidic talents. He struck the Map Maker job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.
