History: Mehen hails from a village terrorized by brigands. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Mehen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Oriel and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Beleth was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dwarven conditions. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Halfling people; and her religion dominates her actions
