Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Orcs in Volen's homeland. Volen decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Five fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She found a children's book about a Tabaxi Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: Revenge; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Shautha grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she wants to meet her childhood hero
