History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Thorin grew up listening to his father's many stories. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

History: Lavinia was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Layabout arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Layabout. She has worked as a Layabout like her mother before her.
