Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. After a long history of fighting, Gomory and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Sailor. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born to a Cook, her father struggled to pay the bills. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bookbinder. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this eastern gal figured out how to best use her charms to convince people to do what she wants. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her mother.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and gnomish compassion

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Bricklayer. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
