History: Shifting hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is cool and collected. She likes to make quips and puns whenever she does anything. She also makes a point to compliment her superiors and flatter them. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Emerald alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

History: She is a Doppelganger in disguise. A gifted student she started as a Baker, but she got bored and became a Spice Merchant. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
