History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and to share knowledge with the world

Emmeline's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She now mingles about in high society.
