History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Seamstress arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs.
