History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A freak accident while working with her Servant mother left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Xanaphia was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Halfling in existence. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and to share knowledge with the world

History: Nalaed lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She moved out south to avoid the crime she committed. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Map Maker and was forced into it by her family; and an old rival family wants her found

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Chem has worked very hard to control his curse. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
