History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. After coming to the age of reason, Bathin took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.
