History: He comes from a rich southern family. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Marshal responsibilities is difficult; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Personality: She hates gnolls. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage son.
History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A freak accident while working with her Bellfounder mother left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Description: An imposing woman with a heavy stainless steel prosthetic left hand, she wears tattered old clothes. Her crest is brass and very short. Her gold eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.
Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Gilkass will drive conversation. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.
History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Description: She wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. She has a slight overbite and is overall scrawny. She wears her black hair down. Her eyes are likewise brown. Her teeth are white and perfect.
Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She is a thrill seeker, she laughs at people and throws down challenges. She is highly competitive and combative.
History: Kansif was born in the west. At a young age she loved to build and create. She worked as a nervous Apothecary and found it very stressful. During her travels, Kansif and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Kansif discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Kansif fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
Motivation: Further expansion of business.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Layabout. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.
History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Layabout work with an outfit from a few towns over. Layabout work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He tends to his Layabout job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She can't help but pocket interesting objects she comes across
History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Sumnes was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She moved out west to avoid the crime she committed. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.
Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and to clean up the streets

Description: His right side is far more bruised and cut up than his other. He wears a tan costume with the symbols of the sun god on his torso. With bright blonde hair and a scraggly beard. His eyes are violet and beady.
Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.
History: Born to a Stylist, his father struggled to pay the bills. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
