History: Born in the south to a Bookbinder, Mantus learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Tieflings became a terror of the countryside. Being a Bookbinder kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Shipwright profession.

History: She was raised in a desert tribe. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

Description: Standing 3'5", this man is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His white hair is knotted and matted. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Qualen abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Suhnae embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. He feeds upon the attention of others.

History: Suhnae lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: Born to a Server, her father struggled to pay the bills. After coming to the age of reason, Farideh took it upon herself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and meet up once more with her childhood friend

Personality: She likes to make people angry or surprised. The war was a terrible time for her, and Great does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the west. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Great and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: Nuraval hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. While he appears to be a normal Dwarf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to gnolls.
