It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Tiefling companion (her 'brother'). Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Slave Trader they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Sage, and she later adopted a second daughter.
