History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by brigands. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has worked as a Slave Trader like his father before him.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and someone believes him a fraud

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Bernard was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After a long history of fighting, Bernard and his spouse have recently divorced.
