History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and doesn't want to be a miner and was forced into it by her family

Description: A woman with a warm, jovial air about her, she is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. She wears her hair in dreadlocks. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Born in the west her family was never financially stable. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tieflings in Sammal's homeland. Sammal decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: Ielenia was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
