History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Claira was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

History: Gifted from a young age, Cecily studied abroad. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. Being a Soapmaker kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: She is a sleazy, sleazy gal. She has no qualms about using her powers of suggestion to get people to do what she wants. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Ida was born the youngest of three triplets. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dwarven conditions. She's also a talented Barkeep, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Interpreter for hire.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and balancing her hectic life and new interpreter responsibilities is difficult
