History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: A hulking man with gigantic muscles, he wears a green vest and prefers black and grey shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. His chestnut hair is knotted and matted. His eyes are white and beady.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Guard but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Xappan was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Tiefling Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. A freak accident while working with her Healer mother left her crippled. After a long history of fighting, Sarai and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Cumpen hails from a village terrorized by illithids. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She's attracted to the PC; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Barber hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
