History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Maynild was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. Some 8 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Vanchu never married again. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Gnomish companion (her 'brother'). She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.
