He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Courier work with an outfit from a few towns over. History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many drow want him driven away; and a deep hatred of drow

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She has passion for adventuring and risk; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
