Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. Marbas enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Mortician they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Miller, and she later adopted a second son.

Personality: She will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken her opponents. Despite her formidable combat skills she remains a coward. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Jheri was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
