History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Varis was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. After coming to the age of reason, Varis took it upon himself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world.

Personality: She thrives on attention. She does whatever is in her power to gain the attention of whomever she deems a fit date. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Navigator. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Description: This southern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She is dressed in earthy colors with a red and brown handkerchief worn on her right side. Her silver hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are violet.

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. In her 12th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She tends to her Cartwright job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and balancing her hectic life and new cartwright responsibilities is difficult

He has dyed his greying white crest a little too much giving a sharp white color. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and revenge

Description: She is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of her physical features obscured. Her hair is short and white. Her face is full, her cheeks are rosy, and she always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in her gray eyes.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Hatae was orphaned to a temple shortly after her birth. She was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above herself and to hold her god always in her heart. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Spice Merchant. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the east; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
