Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. Vrondiss enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born to a Hunter, his mother struggled to pay the bills. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Born in the east her family was never financially stable. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Ploughman work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ploughman work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She tends to her Ploughman job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.
