History: Melech lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered dancing. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He dropped out of school to support his sick father, and resented it. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Personality: She has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Navigator who has hired her part-time. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rosalind was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She's in love.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Cartwright for hire.

Motivation: She has decided she is irredeemable; and seeks redemption

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with her Crown-heir mother left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: The child of a Carpenter, who enjoyed hunting, Rolf was taken on many hunting expeditions. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and someone believes him a fraud
