History: Syllin was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying north to reunite her family. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
