History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Through the years after Murgen was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Murgen's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ilanis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ilanis. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: A powerful necromancer made her what she is. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has never given up on her singing dream.
