Personality: She will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken her opponents. Despite her formidable combat skills she remains a coward. The war was a terrible time for her, and Merla does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Merla fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Rurik was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. Through the years after Rurik was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Rurik's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He tends to his Unemployed job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

She worked as a Butcher, and she later adopted a second daughter.
