History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Maegan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Butcher work with an outfit from a few towns over. Butcher work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He's also a talented Layabout, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: The child of a Mason, who enjoyed hunting, Nyx was taken on many hunting expeditions. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Courier. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He tends to his Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: To be a Barber again; and he seems to be bored by most things

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
