She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Courier for the past few years.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Dalgal was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Fisher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Vani was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
