History: Darrow hails from a village terrorized by giants. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He worked as a nervous Stylist and found it very stressful. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Stylist for the past few years.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and balancing his hectic life and new stylist responsibilities is difficult

History: Pikar was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He disdains his fellow northerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Bookbinder. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult; and to be a mercenary again

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. A gifted student she started as a Crown-heir, but she got bored and became a Architect. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Architect for hire.
