History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Philomena was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Philomena's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Adelard was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He struck the Map Maker job and began his own company from there.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
