History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He found a children's book about a Dragonborn Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Alston was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north.
