Personality: She thrives on attention. She does whatever is in her power to gain the attention of whomever she deems a fit date. The war was a terrible time for her, and Thea does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the west. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Being a Roofer kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Euphemia was born with her father's beautiful face. Euphemia abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and to clean up the streets

Personality: Igden speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Igden fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Through the years after Left-Handed was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Left-Handed's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
