When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ploughman hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Elves in Dean's homeland. Dean decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Carpenter for hire.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. Her first spouse was a Herbalist, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She bought a shortbow and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

This search led her directly into Guard work with an outfit from a few towns over. Guard work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Guard for hire.

History: Ar-Karo hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and an old rival family wants him found

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He hasn't been sleeping well lately.
