History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the east. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He hates Gnomes with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. The war was a terrible time for him, and Umpen does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Umpen was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Laborer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: She got into the Guard business at a young age. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 3 years.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and balancing her hectic life and new guard responsibilities is difficult
