Through the years after Gillyd was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gillyd's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Gillyd was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.

Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
